Comedy was the most popular genre for live programming viewing among connected television viewers in the United States, according to a survey held in February 2020 which showed that 62 percent of CTV viewers who watched live programming regularly watched comedy content. The survey also revealed that 75 percent of connected TV viewers regularly watched some sort of live programming, such as linear programming streamed on a set schedule and events or TV specials.
