In 2019, a survey of U.S. adults found that respondents were more likely to trust the responsible use of digital healthcare data if they had previously received care virtually. According to the results, 45 percent of respondents who had received digital care were very confident their data was being used appropriately, whereas 24 percent of respondents who had not used digital health services were not very confident in the security of healthcare data.
