Share of professional investors increasing their ESG investments worldwide 2023

According to a 2023 survey, 50 percent of professional investors worldwide plan to increase their allocation of socially responsible investments over the next year. Despite this planned increase, only a small fraction of professional investors expect their share of socially responsible investments to be over 50 percent of their total portfolio in the next five years. Nine percent of investors plan to decrease their allocation to ESG investments, and a further four percent of investors are not sure whether or not allocation to ESG investments will increase, decrease, or remain the same.
