Although a great variety of activities have been introduced in the context of distance learning since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Mexico, some students have not been able to participate. According to a survey carried out in the country in June 2020, a lack of internet access was the main condition excluding students from distance learning activities, informed by nearly 85 percent of teachers surveyed. More than 70 percent of respondents mentioned students were excluded due to not having the electronic devices necessary, or the financial resources for keeping up with their studies while in the pandemic.
