Distance learning in the context of the COVID-19 lockdown in Mexico has signified great efforts from teachers, who have faced challenges of their own when trying to do their work. According to an online survey carried out in the country in June 2020, the main factor hindering distance teaching has been something unrelated to material resources – the lack of support of students' families. This factor was mentioned by more than two thirds of respondents. It was followed by motivation from students themselves, mentioned by around half of teachers surveyed.
