Germany was the leading producer of yogurt in the European Union (EU-27) in 2022, with a production volume in excess of 1.69 million tons. France followed in second, with approximately 1.34 million tons of yogurt produced in 2022. That year, total yogurt production in Europe was around 7.69 million tons.
