Cyber insurance policies available in Europe in 2019, by type
According to a 2019 survey, the majority of Europe's biggest insurance groups do not offer any form of cyber insurance. Of those that did offer cyber insurance, over half offered both standalone policies, and coverage through an endorsement to another policy (such as professional liability insurance). Generally, cyber insurance is designed to protect businesses from risks arising from the use of data and technology in business operations.
