Colombia: shopping centers 2020, by type of property

In 2020, 64.5 percent of shopping centers in Colombia where under the modality of horizontal property, while nearly 26 percent were single-property.
Horizontal properties are the traditional model of shopping centers in which there are owners of different premises that use common areas (hallways and parking lots) and who must pay proportionally for security, cleaning and maintenance of the property. Single-property shopping centers refers, as the name indicates, to shopping centers managed by a single operator. The retail spaces are rented instead of sold.
