According to a worldwide survey on the Black Friday forecasts in 2020, 31 percent of respondents in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) preferred offline shopping channels on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, compared to 22 percent who preferred online shopping in 2020. There were higher preferences for online shopping in European countries, China, and the United States in that year.

More than 11,000 people across 14 countries (Australia, China, Denmark, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States) were surveyed.
Survey question was as follows: "Where do you plan to buy on Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday?".
