According to a worldwide survey on the Black Friday forecasts in 2020, 44 percent of respondents in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) expected a discount level between 26 percent to 50 percent on Black Friday in 2020. European countries had lower discount expectations than Asian markets and the USA in 2020.

More than 11,000 people across 14 countries (Australia, China, Denmark, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States) were surveyed.
Survey question was as follows: "What do you expect the average discount to be on Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday?".
