According to a worldwide survey on the Black Friday forecasts in 2020, 70 percent of respondents in Saudi Arabia knew about Singles' Day, while only 18 percent bought something on Singles' Day. Majority of the countries worldwide were unaware of Singles' Day in 2020.

More than 11,000 people across 14 countries (Australia, China, Denmark, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States) were surveyed.
Survey question was as follows: "Do you know what Singles' Day is?".
Response choices were: "Yes, I know it.", "Yes, I bought something.", and "No".
