Technology has become more important in the real estate sector over the past years. According to a May 2020 survey, more than half of United States home buyers and sellers were comfortable with signing closing documents for a real estate transaction electronically. Additionally, 62 percent of home buyers and 61 percent of home sellers believed that agents and brokers should know how to sign closing documents electronically.
In 2020, home buying behavior changed drastically due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, 34 percent of United States home buyers delayed their home buying process for a couple of months.
