Women accessing ER because of violence cases in Italy 2020, by diagnosis
During 2020, in Italy, thousands of women were forced to go to hospital emergency rooms because of episodes of violence, for a total of 5,454 single occurrences. In about 44.4 percent of these instances, the main problem observed by doctors was some kind of trauma. Another 18.2 percent of the victims were diagnosed with issues caused by physical violence.
