In 2020, Mexico registered 482,830 passenger and cargo flights departing or taking off from its airports. This represents a sharp decrease in relation to the previous year amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and cuts the upward trend recorded since 2011. The number of air passengers in the Latin America country also increased in the past decade.
