Among the five most affected sectors by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the accommodation and food sector had the highest ratio of informal employment in the year before with more than 80 percent. The sector of wholesales and retail trade and repair ranked second with almost 70 percent of informal employment within the sector. The lowest ratio of informal employment among these five sectors was manufacturing, with 36.1 percent.
