Air cargo imports volume to Japan 2013-2022
In 2022, the volume of cargo imported to Japan via aircraft amounted to approximately 937 thousand tons, declining from roughly one million tons in the previous year. Most of these imports were processed at Narita International Airport, which is the leading airport with respect to international air cargo handled in Japan.
