According to a survey on mobile dating apps conducted by Rakuten Insight in September 2020 in the Philippines, approximately 47 percent of the female respondents and around 34 percent of the male respondents stated that they primarily used mobile dating apps to meet new people. The same survey found that around 42 percent of Filipinos used mobile dating apps.
