Over 60 percent of the African population surveyed considered China a positive influence on their countries between 2019 and 2021. During the period the survey was conducted, six out of every 10 African citizens saw the Chinese economic and political influence on their own countries as somewhat positive or very positive, against 14 percent that evaluated it as negative.
