In 2018, 72 percent of major crop exports from Ghana were to Burkina Faso, which registered the highest export share compared to other neighboring countries. Plantain, fruits, and yam were exported to Burkina Faso. Togo followed with a share of 16.5 percent of exports, comprising banana, corn, and maize. Ivory Coast recorded the least volume of imported farming crops from Ghana, at 0.4 percent of the total. Overall, plantain was the major Ghanaian crop exported to neighboring countries.
