In 2018, Juntendo University Hospital conducted 66 robot-assisted surgeries for lung cancer, which was the highest number of such surgeries among hospitals in Japan. Tokyo Women's Medical University Hospital followed with 48 operations carried out with the assistance of robotic systems.
