Yearly spend on books in Canada 2023, by format

In 2024, just four percent of Canadians did not spend any money on print books, compared to 17 percent who got e-books for free. Canadian readers paid higher sums for print books in 2024 than on other formats, with 13 percent reporting a spend of between 100 and 149 Canadian dollars and two percent spending over 300 dollars.
