Sex ratio at birth among urban and rural population in Vietnam 2010-2023

In 2023, in urban areas in Vietnam, with every hundred girls being born, there were nearly 112.7 newborn boys. Sex ratio at birth experienced some significant changes in both urban and rural parts of Vietnam throughout the years. For example, in 2018, on average, 118 baby boys were born per hundred baby girls in urban areas, whereas in rural areas, this number was only 113.
