Share of Made in France derivative products available in French museum stores 2019
Although France is one of the world's leading tourist destinations, this major cultural attractiveness does not necessarily benefit French producers, artisans and employees. In 2019, the source focused on the provenance of items sold in official museum stores and offered to their visitors. It emerged during the study that in the stores of the French museums studied, the supply of products made in France never reached half of the total. The Musée du Luxembourg store was the most committed, with a 45 percent Made in France offers, followed by the stores at the Château de Versailles (33 percent) and the Louvre (32 percent).
