In 2023, transactions made via the Ghana Interbank Settlement System registered the highest value compared to other payment systems. This amounted to over 3.4 trillion Ghanaian cedis (GHS), roughly 217 billion U.S. dollars, followed by mobile money transactions with nearly two trillion GHS. On the other hand, the highest volume of transactions was achieved through mobile money payments.
