In the first half of 2019, the method of payment that reached the highest volume in Ghana was E-zwich with over five million transactions. This was followed by direct credit, which registered over 3.45 million transactions. Also from January to June 2019, transacting operations performed through the automatic clearing house (direct credit and debit methods) were altogether more than those done through cleared checks. Furthermore, besides direct debits, GhIPSS Instant Pay was one of the methods of payment with the least volume of transaction.
