Breakdown of second-hand clothing items marketed in France 2016-2020, by item size
Between 2016 and 2020, the distribution of second-hand clothing textile items on the French market has undergone several changes. The evolution of volumes for so-called very small items seems particularly important and could underline the polarization of the market between entry-level and premium items. Indeed, of the 2.88 billion items (according to the source) of second-hand clothing, textiles and footwear marketed, very small clothing items accounted for 17.7 percent in 2016, compared to approximately 36 percent four years later.
