Number of inbound visitors to Vietnam 2019-2021, by month

Vietnam received almost two million international tourists in the first month of 2020. This number declined quickly by almost 100 percent to only around 17.2 thousand inbound visitors in December 2021 due to the travel restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Before the pandemic, Vietnam tended to welcome more than one million foreign tourists each month from September to December 2019.
