According to a survey on mobile dating apps conducted by Rakuten Insight in February 2022, approximately 38 percent of female and 36 percent of male Malaysian respondents who did not use mobile dating app stated that they did not do so as dating apps were not suited to their culture. The same survey found that about 66 percent of Malaysian respondents did not use mobile dating apps.
