Average value of French second-hand clothes imports 2017-2019, in euros per ton
The international second-hand textile market is today a flourishing business. And, although France is not among the main importing countries for this type of merchandise, according to the source, it had imported more than 20,000 tons of used textiles in 2019. In 2018, the average cost of a ton of imported second-hand clothing amounted to approximately 1,300 euros, a decrease compared to the previous year. However, in the following year, this price increased substantially, reaching almost 1,600 euros.
