According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on gym membership in India in August 2020, around 82 percent of the female respondents replied that they did or were planning to return to the gym once COVID-19 lockdown measures were relaxed. Similar results were seen in the case of male respondents. Overall, around one-third of all the surveyed Indians held a membership at a fitness studio.
