According to the survey conducted on health tourism in Thailand from February to June 2019, 27.85 percent of respondents aged between 45 and 54 came to Thailand for medical purposes. This was followed by respondents aged between 35 and 44 years.

The survey was conducted in medical facilities in Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Chonburi, Mae Hong Son, Saraburi, and Nhong Kai province, and in Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Mueang International Airport, and Phuket International Airport.
