According to a survey conducted in September 2020, around 79 percent of respondents in Japan had an optimistic attitude towards possible implications on their health in case of a COVID-19 infection. With roughly 34 percent, the share of pessimists was highest among respondents aged 60 to 69 years.
The same survey revealed that concerns regarding an infection with COVID-19 while using public transport were highest when riding trains or buses.
