According to a survey on mobile dating apps conducted by Rakuten Insight in August 2024, approximately 39 percent of respondents in Indonesia between 25 and 34 years old stated that they had used mobile dating apps. The same survey found that the leading reason for using mobile dating apps among those who used one was that the app enabled them to meet with people they would otherwise never have crossed paths with.
