According to data gathered in September 2020, approximately 73 percent of female internet users surveyed in Peru stated to have visited social media sites/apps during the so called 'new normal', which refers to the settlement period following the sanitary crisis. Meanwhile, about 66 percent of men surveyed said to have visited sites/apps in this category at that point in time.
