Pre and post lockdown shopping preferences for gardening and DIY items in France 2020
When looking at data from before and after the lockdown, it seems that specialized hypermarkets had won one percentage point after the crisis for gardening as well as DIY (Do It Yourself) products. The home delivery market saw an increase of one percent after the crisis, department stores fell by two percent since before the COVID-19 crisis. More and more French people are adopting new consumption channels and favor contactless shopping methods for their safety, since the implemented COVID-19 lockdown measures in France at the beginning of 2020.
