The second best-paid soccer coach in the North American country that year was Ricardo Ferretti from Brazil, who leads the Tigres football club with an annual contract of 3.8 million U.S. dollars. The Argentinian Santiago Solari, who coaches the América team, completed the top three soccer coach earners in Mexico in 2021.
