The source states that the data covers two concepts: a multi-criteria assessment of investment opportunities, and an overall ranking of a country's investment "attractiveness" weighted between fundamentals 50%, opportunities 25% and experience 25%. A lower ranking indicates greater attractiveness and vice versa. The ranking calculated the future investment opportunities score by taking into account multiple indicators including a country's current and future electricity demand, energy consumption, CO2 emissions from the power sector, overall price attractiveness, existing electrification rates, etc., to achieve an overall market opportunities assessment.
