Situations inclining people to avoid trains due to COVID-19 in Japan 2020
In September 2020, around 77 percent of people surveyed in Japan responded in light of COVID-19 that they wanted to avoid boarding a train where people do not wear masks. Besides proper behavior, people were reluctant to face-to-face situations. The willingness of people to board a train depended heavily on the degree of congestion.
