In 2021, Belgian consumers were predicted to spend an average of about one and a half percent more over the Christmas period, compared to last year's holiday shopping season. Despite the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, annual online and in-store retail sales in Belgium grew by roughly two percent during 2020's holiday season.
