Production volume of pulses in Tanzania 2015-2020
The production of pulses in Tanzania reached roughly 1.9 million metric tons in 2019/20, an increase of over 30 percent compared to the previous crop season. Beans, pigeon peas, cow peas, and green gram are the main pulse crop produced in the country. Since 2014/15, the production volume has fluctuated, with a peak of 2.3 million metric tons in 2016/17.
