Latin America: online learning platforms use during COVID-19 pandemic 2020, by type
According to a survey carried out between May and June 2020, among the distance education measures implemented by governments in Latin America and the Caribbean as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, 84 percent of the 30 countries analized in the region had chosen the internet as one of their education delivery systems. Among the countries using online learning platforms, 95 percent worked with open and/or commercial platforms, while 90 percent worked with commercial-free platforms.
