Alongside the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the use of technological alternatives in the area of education became essential for the teaching process, both for schools and universities. However, according to a study carried out in nine Latin American countries that year, only one fourth of surveyed university professors felt fully prepared for the inclusion of digital technologies in the classroom, while another 23 percent felt little prepared or unprepared.
