As of July 2020, the export value from Alexandria port in Egypt amounted to roughly 405.4 million U.S. dollars, representing a drop in value of exported products from the port by close to 26.1 percent, compared to the previous month. Moreover, as of the same month, exports from this port accounted for nearly 18.8 percent of the overall port exports. In 2019, Alexandria port contributed to the total value of ports exports in Egypt by exporting the highest share in all the months except in July, where Air ports surpassed it. In 2020, the first three months saw higher shares of the export value covered by Alexandria port, while starting April 2020, Air ports took that place.
