In 2020, personal purposes other than leisure and recreation - such as visiting relatives - was the most common travel purpose among inbound tourists in Haiti, with 116 thousand visitor arrivals. On the other hand, business tourism accounted for less than 5.2 percent of international tourist arrivals in the Caribbean country that year, with some 10 thousand arrivals. The overall number of foreign visitor arrivals in Haiti dropped significantly in 2020, when compared to previous years.
