During a survey fielded in Mexico in 2024, more than 76 percent of respondents stated they used streaming to listen to music. Downloads were mentioned as a source of music listening by 52 percent of Mexicans at the same time. The Mexican music industry generated a revenue of 284 million U.S. dollars in 2021.
