Annual change in shopping frequency in stores in Russia 2021, by product
It could be seen that the coronavirus outbreak has drastically affected in-store shopping in Russia. However, the most affected sector was reported to be catering. The traffic drop in restaurants, bars, and fast food establishments over the past year ranged from 21 to 30 percent. On the other hand, growth in in-store purchases was recorded only for food, children's goods, and household detergents.
