According to a survey conducted in Japan in 2019, approximately eight percent of the respondents aged 25 to 34 years old would pay extra for 5G mobile cloud gaming and e-sports services. The establishment of 5G networks is considered a high priority for the country's plans of a smart society. Therefore, Japanese mobile carriers like NTT Docomo, SoftBank and Rakuten Mobile worked on building out their 5G networks.
