Diverse debut TV shows in the United States were 12 times more in-demand than the annual average in 2019, 20 percent more than non-diverse shows. Looking at the top 25 in-demand broadcast debuts, it was found that annually, the demand for diverse television series was greater than for non-diverse debuts. The average demand is shown as an index to the annual average; this means in 2017 diverse shows were eight times more in-demand than the average.

Non-diverse debut: U.S. first-run television scripted series premiere in which less than 40% of the series regular cast is nonwhite.
