As of 2020, 37 percent of Italian households considered the savings protection framework in Italy quite effective. However, only seven percent of the respondents perceived it as very effective. Furthermore, the framework was considered not effective at all by 20 percent of the respondents.

This question was phrased by the source as follows: "Secondo Lei, le regole, leggi e controlli che tutelano il risparmio in Italia quanto sono efficaci?"
Respondents evaluated the degree of effectiveness of the framework on a scale from one to ten. The grade was then converted into a qualitative scale on the base of the following criterion: Very effective (8-10) Quite effective (6-7) Not very effective (4-5) Not effective at all (1-3)
