In 2019 ten percent of debut television series from streamed TV in the United States had highly diverse casts. A study looking at the share of nonwhite cast members in the annual top 100 debuts in the United States found that the number of titles with highly diverse casts had increased from four titles in 2017 to ten in 2019.

Non diverse: U.S. first-run television scripted series premiere in which less than 40% of the series regular cast is nonwhite.
Moderately diverse: U.S. first-run television scripted series premiere in which at least 40% but less than 60% of the series regular cast is nonwhite.
Highly diverse: U.S. first-run television scripted series premiere in which at least 60% of the series regular cast is nonwhite.
